There is a never ending flow to the projects we can do, on our own or with others.
For our recent group project, Flemington Streetview, we focused on photographing Main Street, Flemington NJ during one weekend in October. The aim was to express downtown Flemington as it is, now, in the early part of the 21st century. Many projects are proposed for Flemington which may change its character in years to come and our photos are for the history books, when they are written in the future.
Fourteen photographers participated and produced hundreds of images. Each photographer culled their photos to the most representative which were exhibited at a showing in Frenchtown December 8th and which will be exhibited a second time right in downtown Flemington in January.
A book of the photos is being produced and will be donated to the Historical Preservation Society for its archives and for future generations to look at and say, “Look how different Flemington was back then.”
