Even more than the weather, light changes. Everyone knows that of course. Morning afternoon, evening, twilight and night seem to happen almost everyday. (at least in my neck of the woods).
But what is most lovely is how it changes over the course of the year. Summer, winter and spring light all have their own character and the changes happen gradually but noticeably.
Changes are most noticeable after a long cloudy spell. Somehow, cloudy days in winter seem remarkably light cloudy day in summer lightwise. Maybe cloudy day light is more dependent on the thickness and character of the clouds than the time of year.
Now it’s March and winter light with its warm yellows and cool blues is slipping away with spring starting to bring us the greens and reds. So it goes and here it comes.
