FEELING

How are you feeling? How does your photo feel? How do you feel about your photo? How did you feel when you shot it?

Good? That is what matters.

We start with good. That is what prompts us to push the shutter in the first place. You click when it feels right (and then click some more). The better you feel, the better.

Most of the time we continue to feel good about our photos until there is some external influence, such as lack of likes on social media or not making a sale. But that’s the way it often works. We sometimes judge ourselves and our works by what other people think.

In some ways that’s not so bad. Our works are for viewing and when others like them it can add to our own satisfaction. If we don’t get good feelback we can strive a little more and hone our skills.

If you are satisfied with your shots but others don’t like them, then fall back to how you felt when you got the shot. Wallow in the feeling.
