GEOTAGGING AND GOOGLE MAP

This workshop demonstrates how to determine the locations of your photos, to add coordinates to the metadata and includes a special section about how to determine in what borough or township your subject is located if you are shooting in Hunterdon County.

GEOTAGGING

Part one of this workshop shows how to embed coordinates (latitude/longitude) in photos so the location of the subject becomes a permanent part of the image file.  This is very useful and is especially important for documentary type photos where the location is important and may need to be determined by historians long after the photo was taken.

GOOGLE MAP

Part two of this workshop shows you how to mark locations while out in the field using your cell phone, how add photos to places on Google and how to create your own custom Google Maps. This is a lot of fun and your photos have the potential of being viewed by many people around the world.

MUNICIPALITY

Part three of this workshop shows you how to determine in what municipality your subject is located.  When we are way out on country roads it is sometimes difficult to know in just what township or borough we are located. This information is important for the BARNS, BRIDGES & BUILDINGS PHOTO PROJECT

"After viewing Bill’s blog, which was so complete, I wasn’t sure there was much more to be learned, but there is so much more and with this presentation, he left me with an excitement for this new challenge."
Marlyn Reuter

"Bill's Geotagging and Goggle Map course is informative and interesting. He knows the in's and out's of geotagging photos and shows how to do it. I learned some things about Google Maps I didn't know and would have been time consuming to figure out. I'm glad I took the course!"

Please be sure to register a day in advance of the workshop in order to receive the Zoom link.  The link is typically emailed to you the morning of the day the workshop is run.
