Today’s digital cameras have an average of 5,235,750 menu options (maybe more). It’s like 5 millions engineers got together and each one added something. (some of them added two things).
There are a lot of options. Most of the time we become familiar with just a few of them, but it’s worth getting to know your menus, though, despite the pain. There is often much in there that can make your photography better and can tweak your camera more to your liking.
Screw around a little. Browse. Push some buttons. You may find some very useful things you never knew. I recently found out that my camera can make toast.
